Lambertville, NJ Garden Wedding Editorial at Chimney Hill Estate Inn
Set against the quiet elegance of Chimney Hill Estate Inn in Lambertville, New Jersey, this garden wedding editorial explores what happens when thoughtful event planning, intentional florals, and a collaborative vendor team come together.
Venue: Chimney Hill Estate Inn in Lambertville, NJ
Chimney Hill Estate Inn offers a refined yet relaxed backdrop for couples drawn to historic charm and intimate settings. Its neutral tones and natural light allow thoughtful design to shine without overpowering the space. Additionally, there are 17 well-appointed bed & breakfast rooms & suites, including a 2-story 2 bedroom wedding suite, for convenient on-site accommodations. This primary suite includes a full kitchen, living room and dining room, making it perfect space for a wedding party to get ready in.
From a planner’s perspective, this venue is a great setting for microweddings and smaller weddings with guest counts under 100. Every corner feels considered, with wellness touches throughout, making it ideal for couples who value a calming atmosphere as much as the aesthetic of its sprawling grounds. Depending on your party size and style, there are many places on the property to host your event. From an outdoor ceremony underneath the grand oak tree to an intimate rehearsal dinner in the Greenhouse and a reception in the Carriage House.
The Design Vision: A Misty Garden
The design centered around a garden-inspired palette with soft neutrals, bold floral tones, and subtle texture. Rather than over-styling, the focus was on creating balance, allowing room for the eye to rest while still feeling elevated and expressive.
The stunning floral design by Fleurish Today was created to feel organic and layered, anchoring the venue throughout. Soft garden blooms with movement added warmth without being overwhelming.
The process started with defining the mood before selecting rentals or decor. Case in point, when it came time to work with Citrine Tablescapes, we were tempted by their beautiful, elaborate collection. Curating the design with elegant neutrals allowed us to strike the balance we aimed for. Natural crossback chairs from Peak Party Rentals seamlessly completed the table as an upgraded selection.
Designed to encourage conversation and connection, the table reflects how thoughtful planning translates into guest experience, such as die-cut orchid place cards and menus from Alexandra Sebastian Co. laid with luxurious velvet napkins. The result was storytelling that enhanced the tone while grounding the entire space.
What is a wedding if it doesn’t include easy, fun moments though?! Drinks mixed by The Tipsy Fox were customized with just as much purpose and attention to detail to fit the spirit of the day. (Pun intended.) Among other edible art forms, the incredible cake by Sowheets Cake Shop was as delicious as it was gorgeous. The day ended with nostalgic fun with The Love Machine’s vintage vending machine. Cute stickers and tattoos can be customized and make the perfect memorable favor for guests.
Bridal Preparation: Beauty as Part of the Experience
Bridal preparation took place all week across leading South Jersey beauty studios, with a full glam team providing a soft glow from within on the big day. This strong team of beauty pros collaborated to create a radiant look that comes off as effortless.
The week began with a facial at Angela DiSimone Aesthetics in Cherry Hill, NJ to create a strong foundation for a dewy day-of look. Angela specializes in treatments that target acne, hyperpigmentation, and rosacea to boost skin health and bring confidence before the big day. For a full body glow, Shades of Summer Tanning provides customized spray tans for natural-looking color year-round. With a Deptford, NJ studio and mobile options, they offer flexibility to their clients throughout South Jersey.
Bright and early, hair and makeup began at Looks and Lashes Beauty in Haddon Heights, NJ. Taking into consideration a detailed, lace dress with open back, Meg styled a sophisticated updo with loose curls. Makeup by Kaitlyn featured a rosy color palette and neutral shimmer to create that look that enhanced instead of transformed.
A Groom’s Style Through Thoughtful Details
Not to be overshadowed, attention to detail also applies to the groom! In this case, styling focused on clean lines and timeless tailoring by Chadmoore Formal Wear in Blackwood, NJ. A tan suit complemented the overall tone without competing with any elements, letting the bride’s lace details and brilliant bouquet stand out. Subtle accents and layered textures, such as a subtly patterned tie and calla lily boutonniere, were handsome touches.

This editorial was designed to inspire couples who value clarity, collaboration, and thoughtful design. If you’re planning a wedding at Chimney Hill Estate Inn or searching for a planning experience rooted in intention, we’d love to help you shape the vision.
